11 Months Old

Gracie is 11 months old!!! Only one month until her first birthday...I think this month has been her "grow up" month - she has changed so much and has really turned into a toddler over this past month. Here are some of her 11 month grown up moments:

• Goodbye baby food - she will absolutely not eat anything pureed anymore
• Hello table food - LOVES rice, mac & cheese, mandarin oranges, beans, chicken fajitas, ravioli, spaghetti and breakfast bars
• Talking up a storm - her first official word is ball but she also says dog, duck, book, daddy, ma (we are thinking this is mommy), uh oh, hi, bye bye and deer. And many other fun words that we need a translator for -
• Climbs on and OFF the couch and other stationary objects - she has been climbing up for awhile but down safely is a new feat.
• Follows many commands - "come here" "go get the ball" "where is Riley" "go get your baby" "go tell Maxie hi" "let's go outside" "go find your water" "do you want a snack"
• Loves to watch noggin - her favorite show is "Wonder Pets" and when the phone rings she squeals and starts clapping.
• Clapping and saying "yeah"
• Making the sign for more - it is still more like a clap but we will count it!
• Dancing to music - bounces up and down and stomps her foot
• Gives hugs and kisses!!! and on command too!!
• Says Wow and shows the cutest "surprised" look on her face when something happens!!
• Can show you where her head & belly are
• And last but not least - will put herself to sleep - although we still rock for the most part, she is totally capable to laying down in her bed & going to sleep!!! YEAH!!
