Jennifer and I decided one week in June to take a mini-vacation to the beach and Galveston. We talked Mimi into going with us and off we went on a "girls only" trip!!! It was so much FUN!!! We did tons in the 4 days we were there but it was so worth it because the girls had a blast! We liked it because we both just relaxed, had little routine and bedtime was whenever!!! Whew!!
One afternoon we went to Schlitterbaun...and wow - such FUN - they have a ton of stuff for little ones and Grace absolutely loved the slides and water!!
All by herself...and she even went up the stairs and waited in line by herself too!!!
Getting ready to ride the rapids - and they were real rapids!! The first time through it scared me to death and we actually flipped over but I was able to just grab her and hold on to the intertube and all was o.k but after that I was much more careful and made sure we were balanced before the rapids started!!

Loved the Pirate Ship that spewed water!!!
They had a BLAST just swimming around in the water...
Splashing...

We also went to Moody Gardens one day - so much fun but we realized we should have just bought the aquarium pass as that was where we spent almost all of our time...

We tried the IMAX but ended up leaving before the movie was over...all Grace wanted to do was eat the glasses and both girls started talking during the movie.
Grace in the shark cage -
Grace is pointing at the sharks...the loved the big tanks with all the sharks and fish
Looking a the the penguins

Here we are at the beach - we ended up only going down there one day because June is SEAWEED season and it is EVERYWHERE...so thick in the water the girls didn't even want to swim...it was gross and I am not a fan of anything touching me in the ocean so it really freaked me out!! They did end of picking up hunks of it and "feeding it" to the birds...
