Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween...Grace was Ariel this year - I let her decide what she wanted to be and that was her choice all summer so as soon as the costumes came out I started looking for a cute Ariel princess - for those who know me well, this was not an easy task as I am NOT a fan of character clothes, shoes, costumes, etc. so the fact that I let her choose this costume was HUGE!!! But I do think it turned out pretty cute and I realize it is time for me to let go of some of my snobbey ideals!!

We went to the church fair on Halloween this year - it is usually the week before but since Halloween was on a Sunday this year we were able to go there for awhile before trick-or-treating. We only trick-or-treat at a few houses (grandparents, close friends, etc.) and I was reminded this year why - the neighborhoods are insane with people walking all over the place and many dressed very inappropriately!!! As Grace gets older I think we will continue to choose a select few to visit each year and that will be the extent of our trick-or-treating!!!
